Run Linux in EXT3 Rather than EXT4 for Better Performance [Linux]

Run Linux in EXT3 Rather than EXT4 for Better Performance [Linux]: "

According to the newest benchmarks provided by Linux-focused web site Phoronix, the EXT4 filesystem for Linux has gained some improvements as far as data loss goes with the latest Linux kernel—but at a cost of a significant drop-off in performance. Now obviously we aren't saying you should reformat your system right now, especially since eventually EXT4 will definitely be the better option all around—but if you're the type that likes a fresh, reformatted install of your OS every 6 months or year, you might be better off sticking with EXT3 for the next cycle, as it may be a few kernels before EXT4 has optimal performance again.
